Twitterrific 5 contains secret Flappy Bird mini game

Flappy Bird may no longer be available on the App Store, but that hasn’t stopped the folks at Twitterrific from pouncing on the opportunity to bundle a lookalike mini-game within its popular Twitter client. As discovered by a gentleman named Andy, and demonstrated on video by Jeff Benjamin at iDownloadBlog, the all-new Twitterrific 5 has a hidden easter egg…

To activate the so-called Ollie Bird game, swipe down on your Twitterrific stream further than you normally would. You may have to repeat that a few times before it works. If successful, you should now see a knockoff Flappy Bird rendition that revolves around the official Twitterrific bird Ollie navigating through pipes in a similar manner to the popular game.

Unfortunately this apparent feature is not enough to drag me away from using Tweetbot, which I have on both iOS and OS X. But the inclusion of a Flappy Bird knock-off is a smart decision for Twitterrific, especially because of how viral the game has been in headlines for the past few weeks. If you haven’t given the game a try yet, you should.

Which is the better Twitter client? Twitterrific or Tweetbot?
