I have a regular iPhone 5, Wi-Fi on all day. No Bluetooth. The usual turned off features. Pulled from the charger at 9:00am and now at 3:26 I have 97%. I usually have around 85% by this time of day. Wow.
Apple does not specifically mention that iOS 7.1 improves battery life, but it appears that subtle changes to the mobile platform have been very positive for some iPhone and iPad users. This user in particular has seen his battery life drain as much as 12 percent less during the same amount of time he used to run a previous iOS version. I’m going to go on a tangent and say that perhaps it has something to do with the fact that people cannot jailbreak this version, leading to more users running and getting better returns from stock software.
