Microsoft announces Word, Excel, and Powerpoint for iPad

Microsoft today announced that the Office suite of productivity apps would be available on the iPad. These apps have been rumored since 2012, and they’ll be available at 2:00 PM Eastern Time today. Each looks like a fantastic program, and Microsoft is promising that they are fully compatible with their desktop counterparts.

The apps will be free to use to view and present documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, though you will be required to purchase an Office 365 subscription if you want to create or edit files.

Interested, or does iWork work well enough for you?
